PUBLIC FOSS RELEASE IN PREPARATION
An independent tribute to Winamp and the joy of playing your own music. PP AMP brings that old-school spirit to a hands-on Windows player with two decks, AutoMix and a Power Pet with personality.

01 / THE PLAYER
PP AMP starts with the things a DJ needs in reach: playback, waveforms, cues, loops, a library and room to make the next move.
Play and shape tracks across two decks with waveform editing, cue and loop controls, effects, and MIDI controller support.
Build a queue, then let AutoMix plan transitions when you want a hand between tracks.
Organise and play from a local music library. Pick your files, hit play, and keep the old-school freedom to enjoy music without a PP AMP account.
02 / THE APPROACH
The “agentic” part adds optional ways to explore and control a mix. It does not take the decks away from you.
Use the Assistant Console with a configured model to explore your library and DJ workflow. Core playback remains a desktop task.
MIDI and an MCP bridge extend the workstation to compatible controllers and agent clients, with their own setup and permissions.
Pet appearances bring state and attention into the console. They are visual cues; music actions use separate, explicit controls.
03 / RELEASE STATUS
We want the release to feel old-school simple: come here, download the Windows installer directly, and play your local music without making a PP AMP account. The public FOSS build is still in preparation. The installer, source code, license, checksums and release notes will be linked here once verified.
No public download is available yet.
Check back here for the installer, source and release notes when the public build is ready.
Read the FAQ04 / THE DETAILS
There is no public build yet. When the release package has been verified, this page will link directly to the installer, checksums and release notes. No PP AMP account will be needed to download it.
Winamp made playing your own music feel immediate and fun. PP AMP carries that spirit forward with local files, visible controls and a little personality. This is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Winamp.
A public FOSS release is planned. The repository and license are not public yet, so please wait for the published source and license before relying on reuse rights.
No. The desktop player has its own deck and library workflow. Assistant and speech features are optional integrations; they may need separate local setup or provider credentials.
